As soon as the song finished on the radio, Nathan turned down the volume knob on the small radio that sat on the edge of the blanket. He and Sarah sat along the edge of a river as the sun set over the western bank across from them. As he turned to look into Sarah’s eyes, he remarked on the song as the radio quietly played.
“Sarah, I’ve always liked that song. ‘Thunder Road’. It’s one of Bruce Springsteen’s hits from way back when.”
